Before she began her real estate career, Barbara Malachowski studied to be a foundry manager in communist Poland and moved to Paris and got her Master’s in Business Administration. She ultimately settled in the United States where she met her husband who was a builder and renovator of homes in the D.C. Metropolitan area. Having always possessed a keen eye for value, she was right away drawn to the unlimited potential of the residential market in this area, which was at that time a diamond in the rough. She attained her real estate license and quickly cut her teeth on delivering value to clients and homeowners alike. Barbara pulls this off by being extremely responsive to client inquiries, in tune with rising trends and styles in homeownership, and intimately knowledgeable about home design. Barbara and her husband also founded Falcon Construction, a general contractor specializing in renovating and building high-end homes, which gave Barbara exposure to the niche luxury home market. As a result, she has decades of experience in guiding clients to and through high-end homes. Barbara and her husband are long-term Bethesda residents and they have three children. She speaks English, Polish, French, and the occasional Russian.
