Cory is originally from the Philippines, and has been living in the Washington Metropolitan area for over 30 years. She has an MBA (George Washington University) and a Master of Science in Taxation (American University). After serving as a technical expert for over 20 years at corporations and Big 4 accounting firms, Cory moved to a business development role, becoming a top sales executive. In 2014, after a short respite from the corporate train, Cory found a new mission in real estate advisory. Today, she is living her best life, loving and creating new relationships, and giving her best client service.

Cory and her husband Joe - who spent 35 years at the World Bank Treasury serving numerous developing countries, maintain residences in Washington, D.C., Clifton, VA and Westport Island, Maine - where family gather to hike, kayak, nature walk, fish and feast on lobsters. They have 2 daughters, Charisse and Christianne, who attended the National Cathedral School in DC and subsequently matriculated at Colby College and University of Pennsylvania - for which Christianne still coxes the Penn Women's Alumni Varsity rowing team. Charisse works at BlockFi, a cryptoasset services firm, and Christianne is at Stripes Group LLC, a growth equity firm. Their household also includes 3 Chihuahuas – Milo, Otis & Walter.
Cory is a member of the Board of Directors of The John S. Mulholland Family Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charity organization with a mission to feed the working poor of Washington, D.C. She is also an avid supporter of St Paul Parish in the Philippines, focusing her resources on alleviating hunger among the poor.
