Hugh McDermott specializes in serving his clients in the luxury markets throughout the District of Columbia, Virginia and Maryland. Hugh’s love for real estate began at a young age, learning from his mother who owns and operates her own real estate brokerage in the Boston area. He takes great pride in carrying on the family tradition and has earned the trust of his clients through his loyalty, hard work, and attention to detail. As a team member of Jeff Wilson & Associates, Hugh is dedicated to delivering premium service for his clients and advising them through their unique real estate transactions, finding solutions to every challenge and ensuring a smooth transaction from start to finish.

Prior to his career in real estate, Hugh worked in the White House for First Lady Michelle Obama, serving in the Obama Administration as a political appointee from 2013-2017. Following his time in the White House, Hugh worked for Michael Bloomberg’s advocacy organization, Everytown for Gun Safety, before pursuing his passion in real estate.

Born and raised in Dedham, Massachusetts, Hugh earned his Bachelor’s degree from the College of Charleston, double majoring in Political Science and Communications. After college, Hugh moved to Washington where he now lives with his wife, Hope, in Chevy Chase, DC. In his free time, Hugh loves to spend time with family, play golf with friends, and cook at home.
