Jonathan Taylor is the Founder and Managing Partner of TTR Sotheby’s International Realty. He began his real estate career in 1984 with Dale Denton Real Estate in Georgetown, Washington DC. His meeting with real estate developer Wallace Tutt in 1986 presaged the founding of his own firm in 1988. Michael Rankin joined them in 1991, and the firm was incorporated as Tutt, Taylor & Rankin, LLC. In January 2006, it became the Washington DC affiliate of Sotheby’s International Realty. The firm now comprises over 300 associates, office managers, and administrative staff in seven offices representing the Washington Metropolitan area. The firm grossed $2.6 billion in sales in 2016. Jonathan attributes a significant degree of the firm’s success to remaining active as a selling broker. He has been involved in many significant sales throughout his career, including the sale of 15 Dupont Circle, the historic Patterson Mansion for a record setting $20,000,000. The majority of his business maintains a radius surrounding the Northwest neighborhoods of Washington DC, specifically, Kalorama, Mass Ave Heights and Georgetown. This affords him the opportunity to be the expert in those markets. Jonathan’s support of charitable and philanthropic organizations represents his varied interests. He has provided support to the Washington Kastles, he has also provided significant underwriting to the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation. As a lifelong dog owner, Jonathan has given his continuous support for the last 20 years to the Humane Alliance and is a generous supporter of The Bark Ball that brings in excess of 1,000 donors annually. Sports have always been an integral part of Jonathan’s life. He is an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, Boston Bruins and the Boston Celtics. With baseball being one of his abiding passions, specifically pitching, he competes in several tournaments nationally each year. Aside from baseball, Jonathan finds joy in playing tennis and golf.
