Katherine Buckley's many repeat clients attest to the reputation for integrity and attention to detail she has earned as one of the leading real estate agents in the Washington area. Her clients benefit not only from the experience and knowledge Katherine has gained over more than 20 years in the business, but also from her extensive contacts with lenders, contractors, title attorneys and other industry professionals. She has been repeatedly recognized as one of the area's top agents by the Greater Capital Association of Realtors. Katherine's approach is simple and straightforward: give clients the information and the support they need to make a sound decision, without prodding or pressure, then provide the follow-through for successful negotiations and settlement. Her knowledge of the market helps sellers determine the right price, and her marketing skills guarantee maximum exposure for their homes. Katherine has handled transactions from Rockville to Logan Circle, but she specializes in Northwest D.C. and close-in Maryland. Having lived and worked in the area for years, she is intimately familiar with the market. She joined TTR Sotheby's International Realty because she has always strived to be in the top tier of her chosen profession. Katherine grew up in a small town in South Carolina, but after a brief stint as a schoolteacher in Charleston, she moved to Manhattan and launched a career in the luxury hotel industry. She quickly worked her way up to marketing director at Trust House Forte's flagship U.S. property, the Plaza Athenee. After concluding that Washington would be an easier place to raise young children, she left New York and started a new career in real estate. She lives in American University Park with her husband, Ron Hutcheson and dog, Ellie.
