A native of Texas, Kathryn has called the Washington Metropolitan Area home for over 25 years. After graduating from law school, Kathryn began her career on Capitol Hill where she worked as a legislative assistant and later became a lobbyist for a trade association. Her ability to build rapport, negotiate and reach across party lines was critical to her success on the Hill, where she developed a reputation for collegiality and effectiveness and for building coalitions that advanced the interests of the members she represented.
When contemplating her next career move, Kathryn decided to use her skills and experience as a lawyer, advocate and deal-maker to represent clients buying and selling their homes. Being a realtor fit perfectly with her love of houses and design, her gift for working with people, and her talent for bringing people together to help them achieve their common objectives. As a seasoned real estate professional, Kathryn’s advocacy and negotiation skills are on display each and every day as a consultant to her diverse portfolio of real estate clients, which include first-time home buyers, investors, developers, and long-time homeowners. In fact, Kathryn’s in-depth market knowledge has afforded her numerous industry accolades, including Washingtonian Magazine’s Top 100 Real Estate Agents.
Kathryn has called many places in the DC area home over the years, including Georgetown, Old Town, Cleveland Park, Arlington and Capitol Hill. She and her family now live in the Town of Somerset in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Kathryn’s been active in numerous charitable causes, but the one that is most near and dear to her heart is finding a cure for Alzheimer’s after losing her father to the disease. In her limited spare time, Kathryn enjoys cooking, traveling, reading, yoga and, mostly, spending time with her husband, their three sons, and their dogs, Leo and Teddy.
