Lisa Abeel resides between the Watergate, Washington D.C. and Middleburg, Virginias' equestrian hub. For the past 25 years, she has been assisting clients with buying, selling, design, staging, repurposing and renovating their homes, estates and farms.
Prior to moving to the DC area, Lisa began her career back in the 1980's, working for developers, honing skills in large scale housing projects, village of Wellington, Florida. From there she transitioned to a leading commercial agent and was named the Palm Beach County Commercial Realtor of the Year. Uniquely qualified in acquisitions, property management, sales, leasing, rezoning and property assemblage, Lisa can effectively work with city planners and zoning agents. She is also familiar with the nuances of 1031 exchanges.
Outside of her professional life, Lisa is active with the Washington Performing Arts. She has been instrumental in helping young emerging artists further their careers through programming in the salon setting in preparations for their Kennedy center debut. She is also a longtime supporter and active volunteer to the PEC, Piedmont Environment Council, and has served on the board of St. Albans/National Cathedral Crew.
Lisa earned her B.A. from Florida Atlantic University in Chemistry, while competing on the Women's D1 Tennis Team. She is an avid horseback rider and formerly a subscriber with the Orange County Hunt. She frequently visits Florida, to see family, while competing a show hunter in Wellington. In additional to Lisa’s well accomplished real estate background, she has first-hand entrepreneurial experience in owning and managing two retail businesses and she also holds a top-secret security clearance.
